Save My Business Now! Need Volunteers and Companies Needing Help

Why did we create “Save My Business Now”

We feel passionate about helping the businesses in our community who have been affected by the Covid-19 outbreak. By connecting business leaders, consultants and coaches with small and medium sized businesses who need help, we will provide support to those hit by the pandemic.

Our clients

Our biggest need right now is to find those businesses who need guidance, resources, ideas and strategies to manage through the crisis. We want our volunteers to support this initiative and tell their contacts in small and medium businesses about our service. We are targeting small businesses of 2 or more, and up to medium businesses of up to 500 employees.

How to join our group as a volunteer

If you have entrepreneurial, business operations, finance, IT, critical business and leadership skills, please join our Linked in group https://www.linkedin.com/groups/12385917/. You can be a consultant or a coach or advisor. As we get requests from businesses who need your support, we will contact you. Remember this is a free service we are offering those businesses. We are starting in North Texas but since our work will be done on the phone and video, it does not matter where you are and where they are.

What volunteers deliver

You will contact the client as soon as you are assigned. Their most pressing need will be on the intake form. Call them and learn how you can help. You may deliver this consulting by phone or video conference. Make it clear to the client how many hours you can give them. You do not need to deliver more than 4 hours. If you only have 1 hour, then please tell them that. Give what you can give. We are very appreciative and they will be too.

Resources

First, we have over 50 members in our group, so chances are someone else in the group may be a good person to offer different services to the client if you are unable to. You will be chosen based on your linked in profile specialties and what we know about you. After you help them they may want assistance in another area, such as leadership coaching to learn how to cope with change or how to deal with the stress and uncertainty, or any other worry. A leadership coach can help with that. All of us need to be able to refer clients to information on grants, SBA loans, Federal programs available. The list is updated daily.

Referral process to another volunteer

If the client wants to use services of another member, please contact info@savemybusinessnow.org to get the next consultant or coach in the loop.

What if I have not received any projects yet?

We are creating a website this week and plan to get the word out asap. If your status changes and you cannot help, please let us know. Our goal is to give projects to every volunteer.

Website

Eventually the website will match the client need to one of you for services, but for now, Jon Shapiro or Susan Shapiro are doing the matching.

Disclaimer

When you get a referral, you will be asked to sign a disclaimer/confidentiality agreement covering areas such as professionalism, ethics and non- solicitation.
